Save The Dates: 2023 Crossing Reenactments Dec 10 & 25

A victory against all odds.

Witness the Crossing that saved the Revolution.

The reenactment of George Washington crossing the Delaware River in 1776 is one of our exciting and iconic annual events that takes place each December – you won’t want to miss it!

Mark your calendars, because there are just two opportunities to witness the daring journey reenacted at Washington Crossing Historic Park:

First Crossing: Sunday, December 10th, 2023

In addition to the Crossing, experience the Colonial Era for a day and participate in several special colonial-era activities and demonstrations in the Historic Village. Jason Q. Bohm will narrate the event and children's author Jenny Cote will be sharing two of her novels. This is a full day of learning, fun, and memories.

Purchase tickets below.

Time: 11 AM to 3 PM (actual crossing at 1 PM)
Cost: $9 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-11, free for children younger than 5. $25 Family Package includes 2 adults and 2 children.

Christmas Crossing: Monday, December 25th, 2023

Hear General Washington give his inspiring speech alongside passionate historic reenactors in traditional Continental military dress and see these soldiers make the daring journey rowing across the Delaware River in replica Durham boats on Christmas Day.

Time: Noon to 3 PM (actual crossing at 1 PM)
Cost: Free

*Both river crossings are contingent upon safe conditions for participants. However, even if conditions do not allow for crossing, ceremonies, speeches and commemorative activities will still occur.
