Young Patriot’s Day at the Princeton Battlefield State Park

Welcoming the new school year, The Princeton Battlefield Society will host a living history event at the Princeton Battlefield State Park on September 23rd, 2018 with programs for children and their families. Historians in period dress will re-enact colonial military and civilian life. Historical interpreters will be giving tours of the Battle of Princeton that took place on the state park grounds during the American Revolution on January 3, 1777. "Young Patriots' Day" will be a full day event from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Registered "young patriots" will receive a packet of materials including a Young Patriot's Day button, a Battle of Princeton coloring book, chances to win prizes, and other educational materials. A $10 registration donation per family or group is requested and can be made on our website www.pbs1777.org. At the event the registration donation will be $15. Historic Princeton Walking Tour - Bainbridge House

Enjoy a 2-mile, two-and-a-half hour walk around downtown Princeton and the University campus as you learn about historic sites in the area, including Bainbridge House, Nassau Hall, the University Chapel and Palmer Square. The early history of Princeton, the founding of the University and the American Revolution are just some of the stories from Princeton’s history that you will learn on your tour.

Tickets are $7. Advance purchase is recommended, as space is limited. Walk up ticket sales are cash only; guides cannot provide change.
