Crossings Set For December 10 and 25 at Washington Crossing State Park

Join us on the banks of the Delaware River to watch a reenactment of George Washington's daring Christmas river crossing. During both events, several hundred reenactors in Continental military dress listen to an inspiring speech by General Washington and then row across the river in replica Durham boats.

Crossings are contingent upon safe conditions for participants. Speeches and commemorative activities still occur even if conditions do not permit crossing.

First Crossing

This year's first crossing event will be held on Sunday, Dec. 10 from 10 AM to 4 PM (actual crossing time approximately 1 PM).

The first crossing features additional activities and demonstrations throughout the historic village. Admission is $8 for adults, $4 for children age five to 11, and free for those under five.

Christmas Day Crossing

The 65th annual Christmas Day crossing will take place from noon to 3 PM on Christmas Day (actual crossing at 1 PM).

Admission is free.

Patriot Passes

A limited number of VIP Patriot Passes are available for both reenactments. A Patriot Pass provides event admission, a seat in an enclosed tent with great views of the reenactment, and complimentary snacks and warm beverages. Patriot Passes are $50 and may be purchased by calling the park Visitor Center at 215-493-4076.
