Projects at Woodfield Reservation

Volunteers are needed to help with a variety of caretaking activies which are being coordinated by Andrew Love of the Tenacre Foundation. Please email Andrew, or phone him at 609-279-2423, to volunteer or for additional information.  Some examples of already completed work are trail maintenance, sign placing, construction of foot bridges, resurveying of reservation boundaries, and creation of a new trail map.  We have photos of some projects for your amusement:

  1. dump cleanup (In 1999, the dump was sorted into piles of distinct materials;  then the piles were hauled away.  Now it's clean, apart from the need for a little glass picking. -- Congratulations, volunteers!)
  2. bridge construction (Lumber was ordered, allowed to dry out, built into a footbridge, and installed over a streambed in October, 2000. -- Another accomplishment!)

For more info, or to volunteer or contribute resources, email Andrew .
