Princeton Township owns Woodfield Reservation.  Different aspects of the park are overseen by the Engineering, Public Works, and Recreation departments. The Princeton Environmental Commission oversees the Adopt-a-Park program, which offers help and direction to the activities of volunteers working on projects in the Reservation.

The community has set aside open space areas like Woodfield Reservation to provide opportunities for recreation, the enjoyment of nature, and to preserve some of the natural heritage of the area.
