· President’s Report

o Healthy Communities Healthy Youth organization is brining Robert Evans to Hopewell on April 15^th to discuss his book Family Matters. We would like to organize a Tollgate book discussion group in preparation for the talk. Randee will organize this.

o Project Democracy rep from Tollgate is needed for the Spring. Later Randi Plevy volunteered to represent Tollgate.

o Read-A-Thon sponsor sheets are due Friday February 5^th.

· Meet the Masters – Molly Mahn discussed this program. There will be a Family Night at the end of the program where the children’s art work will be displayed.

· Principal’s Report

o Ms. Bugbee discussed the various Read-A-Thon activities.

o Mini-Olympics for grades K-3.

o Gifted and Talented program - EALPs have been written.

o Valentines Dance on Friday February 11^th. Dancing from 7-8, then ice cream sundaes.

o Ms. Finn will be back on February 14^th.

· Open Forum Discussion

o The group discussed possible changes to PTO meeting formats, why people don’t attend, what people would like to get out of PTO meetings, the future of PTO meetings.
