·        Treasurers Report          

Family Night Outcome of Fall Fundraisers:  Giftwrap—Budgeted $5,500, collected $4,975; Scholastic Bookfair—Budgeted $2,500, collected $2,537; Clothing sale does not have a final count, but brought in less than budgeted. 

Task donations were $1,300, Assemblies will cost $5,360 and PTO fees collected to date $5,035.  Outstanding fees need to be solicited.                      

·        President’s Report

o       Family Night – Thurs. Dec. 2nd. 

o       Holiday Walk—Friday, Dec. 3rd.

·        Chris Morgan presented the Media Center program and media resources available to both the students and parents. 

·        Principal’s Report

o       Ms. Bugbee discussed the Life Touch Picture emergency cards which will be available to parents.

o       The district will implement a new schedule for kindergarteners on early dismissal days.  A.m. kindergarteners will attend from 8:45-11:15, p.m. kindergarteners will attend from 10:15-12:45 with an hour overlap with the morning students.

o       Check out the new website link to "A Day in the Life of Principle Bugbee" which showcases a principles workday from the children's point of view.

o       The District is in budget planning stages with regard to Bill 51701.  Guidelines will not be set until February.  In anticipation of more budget cuts, Ms. Bugbee will continue to identify the priorities for the school along with a committee of staff and parents.

o       Winter Concert—December 7 at 7:30.

o       Picture Make-up—Mon, December 6.

o       Early Dismissal--December 23.

o       Howe's Habitat—Staff has had a workshop and classes have been using it.

o       Outdoor games on blacktop will be finished in spring when the weather is warmer.

o       Guided Reading—Each grade-level teacher has had a half-day workshop and assessment is imbedded into the instructional program.  When groups are complied in the classroom, they will be based on the assessment of students. 

 

Call for a parent volunteer to work with Project Democracy as liaison for Toll Gate.
