·        Budget for 2004-2005 was voted on and passed.

·        Wishlist for 2004-2005 was voted on and passed.

·        Carol Chalela reported on the district’s new Gifted and Talented program. 

·        President’s Report

o       Fall Fundraisers – the Giftwrap deadline was extended.  So far sales are a little short of expected sales.  The Fall Bookfair will be from October 19-21. 

o       Family Night – on October 21st TG will have a Fur Ball to raise money for the Animal Shelter. 

o       CAT – will hold a costume collection from October 18-22.  An animal shelter collection will be set up for the Family Night.  The first week in November a TASK wishlist will be sent home for the TASK Thanksgiving dinner.

o       Ms. Bugbee discussed the Guided Reading Initiative.

o       Saturday October 16th from 10-3 parent volunteers are needed to help spread mulch on the paths in the outdoor learning center.

o       Picture Day is October 15th.

o       Summer Reader’s Breakfast on October 28 and 29 at 7:50 a.m.

o       Halloween Parade October 29th at 2pm.

o       Service Learning assembly will be held on November 12th to discuss the TASK Thanksgiving meal as well as other volunteer opportunities.

o       Room parents will no longer call parents for delayed openings due to winter weather.  Parents can check the web site or the district phone.  If there is an early dismissal (or late opening due to an unforeseen event), then room parents will call parents.
