  • President’s Report:

o       The PTO needs a set of procedures to allow people to donate items to the school.  We will need to provide the donator with a letter on Tollgate letterhead describing what was donated and its value.

o       Chairpersons are still needed for the Book Exchange, Pennington Day booth, the End of the Year Picnic, Publicity and Picture Day.

  • New Business:

o       A proposal was presented to hold a Silent Auction this Spring.  The income goal for the auction is $20,000.  The PTO needs to identify a project for the money.  Ideas focused on improving the back of Tollgate, including the outdoor classroom, blacktop improvements, a sports wall, exercise stations, etc.  Before any such money can be spent it must be voted on and approved by the general membership.

o       The idea of holding class/grade pot-luck dinners was discussed.  The Room Parent Coordinators will take these ideas and decide on a plan.

v     Next PTO meeting is October 7th at 7 p.m.
