Phyllis Alpert Lehrer Phyllis Alpert Lehrer is known internationally as a performer, teacher, clinician, author and adjudicator. She has enjoyed an active career as a soloist, collaborative artist and clinician in the United States, Belgium, Canada, United Kingdom, El Salvador, Taiwan, Japan, Sweden, Russia and the Republic of Georgia. Her performances have met with much critical acclaim: "Warmth and vibrancy at its best," The Times (London); "An able warmhearted pianistÉ Impressive musicianly qualities," Daily Telegraph (London); "an admirable musicality É" (The New York Times). In March of 2007 she was honored as a Music Teachers National Association Foundation Fellow, a program that "honors deserving individuals who have made significant contributions to the music world and the music teaching profession."
Jennifer Tao In performances across the United States and Europe, pianist Jennifer Tao has won enthusiastic audience reception and critical acclaim. Born in Miami, Florida, Ms. Tao began studies at the age of five, and first appeared as soloist with orchestra at age ten. The following year, she won critical acclaim for her performance as soloist with conductor Arthur Fiedler. She went on to win prizes in numerous distinguished competitions including the Maryland International Piano Competition, the NY Young Artists in Recital and the Baldwin National Piano Competition. Selected as musical ambassador by the United States Information Agency, she toured throughout Europe, giving numerous recitals and master classes. A sought after soloist, Ms. Tao has performed in recital at numerous concert halls in America (in New York, her appearances include Carnegie/Weill Recital Hall, Merkin Hall, the New York Historical society and the New School), and overseas (such venues as the Philharmonic Hall in Lublin, Poland, the Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw, Poland, the Liceo Music Conservatory in Barcelona, Spain and the Esplanade Theatre in Singapore). Ms. Tao recorded for Centaur Records and Eroica Records.
