Marc Peloquin Marc Peloquin has received critical acclaim for his performances of both contemporary and traditional repertoire. He has been a featured performer at various festivals in the United States, South America, Mexico, and Europe. He has performed at Merkin Concert Hall, Weill Recital Hall, The Phillips Collection, The Gardner Museum, The Brooklyn Museum, The World Financial Center, the American Academy in Rome, and the Chicago Cultural Center. A recording of Marc Peloquin playing the piano works of Otto Luening is available on the C.R.I. label. Mr. Peloquin received his doctorate and masters degree from The Manhattan School of Music with additional studies at Boston University, The New England Conservatory, and Tanglewood.
Karen Walwyn Classical Concert Pianist, Karen Walwyn, successfully made her New York recital debut at Merkin Hall, in New York City which was quickly followed by her debut performance on National Public Radio, (NPR). Her most noted performances included works from her compact discs entitled Dark Fires: 20th Century Music for Piano, Vol. I and Dark Fires: Walwyn and Friends, Vol. II (Albany Records). 'Walwyn was fearless throughout, managing every challenge with precise fingers and heroic command of textures.' ... (The Cleveland Plain Dealer) of her performance for the Musart Series at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Other such halls and institutions where Walwyn has given master classes and performances of her repertoire of African American 20th Century and European 19th Century Works have been at the L'Auditorio, and The Palau, Barcelona Spain; The Casino Hall in Tenerife, Canary Islands; The Salzburg College in Salzburg, Austria; Clark Atlanta University the University; and the universities of Michigan, Indiana, Miami, and Hawaii. After having completed her Bachelor's and Master's from the University of Miami and her Doctoral Degree in Piano Performance from the University of Michigan, Dr. Walwyn has served on the faculties of the School of Music at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI and at Southwest Missouri State University, Springfield, Missouri. She has also served on the following faculties in Spain, Europe: the Badalona Conservatory in Barcelona; the Conservatorio Privada de Musica in Tenerife, Canary Islands; at the Centre d'Educacio Musical, Terrassa, and the American Academy in Barcelona. As Walwyn joins the faculty at Howard University in Washington D.C. in the piano area, she works on a new recording project: a collection of premiere works for piano by Adolphus Hailstork entitled 'Walwyn Plays Hailstork', (Albany Records).
