Purpose. Dedicated to developing the talent of young piano students as future performers for classical music, the Steinway Society was founded in 1989. During the past few years, it has grown dramatically in membership and substantially increased the number of musical events it sponsors. Both the number and amount of scholarships it awards have grown to all time highs. In recognition of their talent and dedication, the Steinway Society scholarship awards inspire young piano students. The Steinway Society is a tax exempt, piano scholarship organization.

About once a month, at 3:00 pm on Sundays, musicales are held at the Lawrenceville Recital Hall of Jacobs Music , 2540 Brunswick Pike on Route 1 at Texas Avenue, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Social hours, with a buffet of delicious hors d'oeuvres and illuminating conversation with the artists, follow the musicales.
