PHHH #1208.9 Date: Sun July 6 Hare: DP aka Delicate Psycho Hounds: Hey Yo! Paully, Hand Solo, EuroTrash and HIMZ Sent so many emails we felt like he was there: Cliffy Weather: some rain, thunderstorm threats but retreats, humidity, not so hot, wet, moist, damn this cotton shirt feels like a lead weight. Venue: Sourland Mountain Nature Preserve. Sadly absent: Lord Pashtun and Occifer Todt With a flurry of hash dribble that has not been seen on the yahoo servers since Pres Clinton was trying to figure out how to remove lipstick from his boxer shorts, the first July hash was sure to be a memorable one. As we stood under the hybrid Ford's hatch, munching clams and contemplating cucumber uses we waited out the short rain fall that ensured Solo's chain would be covered in rust by the end of the hash. After a nice wide follow the park path warm up, DP leads us off into the woods for a meandering trail through various terrains. Brambles where not so bad, short rain was not enough to constitute the mud and generally the trail was remarkably well marked. Solo was off wandering and seen only at select points but managed to not go totally solo. On-in: Several hundred feet from the start. We had Japanese snacks which resembled the contents of my grandfathers fishing bait, and not from my memory, but the current way the left over bait would look, 30 years after anyone last used it. We also had some really good and some really strange home brews. DP took note from some of my past hashes and found out setting is a nice way to off-load experimental brews.
