Time: 1:30, far too long for any long-absent old relics to manage. 
Fortunately for them they didn't show


I Hear Voices

Some PHHH traditions die easy, such as Wednesdays in Summer, but other 
traditions live on. The Reunions hash is such a tradition, meant to be a 
gentle romp starting at 87 Prospect and meandering in a curlicued path 
through campus. Thirty minutes is all the old fossils can take, but if 
any of them had been rash enough to show up on this particular instantiation 
of the tradition they would have exceeded that quota by a gruelling hour of 
looping trail.  
Running through Campus and Town lets you eavesdrop on a thousand conversations, 
but you only get two or three seconds as you run by. It makes for an 
interesting tapestry of the obscure, the erudite and the crude, the stimulating 
and the obscene.
....completely wasted ....really more metaphysics than geology....a million 
dollars every thirty seconds....balanced on her nipples....The Mandelbrot 
Competition.... I never found out her name but what....got a scholarship to 
Oxford....maybe it was a mistake climbing atop the Dinky....
Some of the sounds seemed strangely disembodied, and were heard when nobody 
was near - they seemed almost to emanate from the ivy or the walls.
....letting women into Princeton, never heard of such....Al, this relative 
theory of yours makes no sense....when's this war gonna end...change the name 
to Princeton, whats wrong with college of new jersey?....d'ya hear that 
Sanford White ran maybe ninety yards for a touchdown....

and the best one of all:
....24 beers in a case, 24 hours in a day. Coincidence? I think not....
