                NBL's DAY IN THE SUN

When Safe Sweats heard we would be hashing in Mercer County Park he immediately booked 
a flight from Santa Cruz to enjoy his old haunts with the PHHH.  Much to his dismay, 
TW immediately took us across Old Trenton Rd toward "the other dam" off Flock Rd. NBL 
then made his first successful shortcut in PHHH history, beelining it to the dam while 
the rest of the pack, (except of course HYP) muddled about in the woods.  When the pack 
finally reeled NBL in and praised him for his first successful shortcut he replied.  
"What shortcut?"

After a regroup on the far side of the little lake (near the end of OuiPee's MCP set 
this summer) we were soon in virgin territory beyond Line Rd.  NBL's second shortcut, 
much less successful, brought him to a field of endless mud while the rest of us enjoyed 
woods of endless mud.  The ON IN soon appeared at the abode of Toxic Waste where we 
enjoyed heat, figure skating, 21 pts for the NYGiants, a very calm cat, and refrigerated 
beers.
