Wee Pi ran to the on-in at the nascent cul-de-sac, confident that he was 
first to keg or bottle or can of Blatz.  but to his immense surprise, 
there was the tiresomely named Alan Braun, smiling broadly.
"What?  How? I haven't seen you since we got to Jasna Polana.  You can't 
have possibly passed me there."
"Oh, well, Nonsensei helped me out."
"A ride to the finish, eh?  I might have guessed."
"No, really, we cut through the woods behind the houses and came out on 
Rosedale."
"But that's impossible!  There was no way out!  I came to a cart path 
with tournament markers, tried to parallel through some yards but there 
was no exit.  Lesbian and I crossed the fairway to the road and somehow 
avoided everyone's notice.  Otherwise it was back the way we came."
"What can I say?  Here I am, no ride."
Just then the LRF arrived. looking surprisingly at ease and waxing 
expansive.
"That was not bad.  There was some interesting terrain after ETS . . . 
haven't run some of that since, oh, at least before number 300."
"But how did you get through Jasna Polana?"
"Oh that," LRF waved dismissively as if it were the question of a callow 
freshman chem student, but he stayed anyway.
Other hashers began arriving with their own tales to tell.  Juicy and 
Rojo stayed on roads and had a pleasant afternoon, Discomfort and Geezer 
found shiggy without breaking a sweat, Paully hours later explained how 
he ran right in front of a foursome without attracting notice before 
heading south to Lawrenceville.
Were there golfers?  Why weren't there more?  Who could say what had 
really happened among the fairways in the woods?  Let us hope that 
Nonsensei does not lead us to the Hasher in the Dunes on her next set.
