           Fear and Loathing on the Road from Las Vegas

Likes to Bang Poles and Dave didn't know what to expect
as they embarked into the foggy New Jersey wetlands.  The
deserts of Las Vegas did little to prepare them for the 
2 hours of sloshing about in store.  It became clear that
our two visitor, flailing about in the raincoats, were
determined enough to finish the trail, and yet how long that
would take was another question.  In fact, they managed to
traverse close to 1 hour of the trail on their own in a running
time of roughly 2 hours and find their way back to their car
without a rescue party required, (half an hour quicker than Solo).

  The first 15 minutes of trail were straight forward enough,
marked by the sudden appearance of Ken Vercammen enroute.
The second 15 minutes involved running around in circles thanks
to the misdirections of the hare.  30 minutes in we knew we were in
trouble as the hares said it took the two of them 3.5 hours to set.

  The Geezer, nursing his wounded leg, was substituted for by
pinch hasher Minor Tom, who joined the waterlogged pack as
we bushwhacked around through flooded woodlands for two hours,
occasionally spying a hare here or there.  

The trail went from:

Wynwood Drive (just west of the Grand Union) - 
South almost to Raymond Rd. - Northeast and
across Rte. 1 - North to Stouts Lane - North to 522 - North to
New Rd. - across Rte. 1 - INTO THAT MOBILE HOME PARK - the 
highlight of the hash - and ended at New Rd. Park (we
never ran the last 1/3rd of the trail as dark and fog descended.

The apres was for the dogs.
