STEVENSON HALL HHH HASH # 80 Date: 1/26/86 Weather: Cold, rain and snow Set by: MJ Runners: Pascal, Baker,Burns, Kaufman,Wachspress,Jackson, ? First to Cooler: Pascal Description, comments: Start on Aunt Molly Rd, along roads to AT+T, out the back of their parking lot through ice water streams and assorted slime and trash heaps, up a hill in snowy woods to the tree farm off Province Line Rd. To PL Rd, fake down Drake's Corner Road, then over the hill to the other part of PL Road. Here there was a long loop, a Pascal trap, that caught all but Kaufman and Burns; Down the road to the "Bridge Out." Wachspress had the right nose for the beer and resisted the tree farm in favor of a bee-line to PL Road. Unaccountably he then spent 30 min exploring the markless miles of Drake's Corner Road; returning just as the pack slogged out of the muddy fields. United again, the runners negotiated the steep slippery hill with only the wily Burns and the out of breath Kaufman somewhat behind. As is so often true the last shall be first and as the eager pack disappeared down the Pascal trap Burns and Kaufman cleverly noticed that MJ, thoughtfully following the pack to prevent losses, and running in pain as well, wasn't following. Their shortcut was to no avail, as the pack caught up and raced down the hill. Wachspress was diverted at the last moment by a sign indicating "slime ahead" (which he naturally followed) and Bob "what's wrong with competition?" Pascal was first to cooler.
