I still have to finish setting, I got kind of tired. According to my GPS..." With these words, our flour-encrusted hare greeted us at 87 Prospect. Was this an ominous foreshadowing of a debacle to come? Would we be sniffing for flour by the light of the full Virginian moon? Undaunted, the PHHH hit the road to East Millstone and a canal-side parking lot. Pursuing fresh flour, the pack headed into the shiggy, descending on the first check mark. Down a false (?) trail, back to the check, back down the same trail... what's going on here? Oh, well, somehow the marks reappeared for a little roadwork before leading back into some of that lovely territory that NJ is famous for; a little mud, a few thorns, a slimy creek crossing, and on to an impromptu beer stop at the Excitable Boy's abode. While Paully lounged on the porch swing, EB ran in for beer and the hounds milled about as hounds are prone to do. A bit more road led us to the hare and a beerless beer stop, where, according to Booger's GPS, we were "about 70% done". On into some more woods, under a fence, around the Colonial Park golf course, through some more shiggy, and several of us found ourselves facing two big dogs lazily chewing on hubcaps in a truckyard while Billy Bob came out to see what all the fuss was about. "Just passing through" with a wink and a nod, the hashers continued on down the road where flour spelling out "beer neer" led the thirsting pack to a lovely apres under a bridge just yards from the start. Beer to suit all tastes, from Miller to Guinness abounded, as well as pork rinds, cheezy poofs, and OuiPee's special salsa. Throat Deep whined about a sore toe, Geezer bled, arguments ensued over the hasher formerly known as U-Pullit (is he now Squirrely, Squirrel Droppings, or Schwirrela?). Down-downs were had for the newly named Squirrel, Excitable Boy, and for Booger, who demonstrated how a down-down is meant to be done done.
