Paully, Uranus, Speed Bumps, Jennifer MIA: NBL The attack of the purple flowers Another day, another hash in Port Mercer, or so it seemed to the half-minds who gathered in the canal parking lot for a re-visitation of Tabletoes' A to B to C to B to A debacle of last year. After determining that NBL had either gone left when he should have gone right or forgone the hash entirely to go cruising in the lesmobile, the apathetic pack finally gathered enough momentum to move itself down the towpath while TD considered staying behind to contemplate his navel. When the marks led off of the beaten path, Juicy and Solo decided it would be a nice day for a training run. Trudging through what passes for mud these days in NJ, the remainder of the pack found itself in a vast expanse of colossal cattails and gargantuan purple flowers that bit. After much confused milling in the shiggy, the Lilliputian hashers once again found flour. TD took down a tree and beat some menacing flowers into submission while the rest ot the pack moved on. Another dash of mud, a pinch of thorns, and a lovely canal-side apres awaited. TD took Paully for a swim, then he took Ice Blue for a swim, Ice Blue tried to see if TD could breathe with his head submerged, and a lovely hash was had by all. Overheard at the On-In: To Paully (en route into the canal): "Just close your eyes and enjoy it" "I gave myself to Tropical" - Rubber "They should really make cheeze-whiz with spermicide" - Paully "You know the record is 6 seconds" - Rubber (don't ask) Juicy: "I got lots of catcalls from cars while Solo and I were running along the road." Booger: "When people drive by me, they usually just scream." " Yeah, I've been a cave man now for about 2000 years." - Booger Note to Geezer for the hash stats: lacking input from both our GM and GD, I granted NBL's auxillary hash number 729.4. It met all criteria, from what I understand... hashers and beer. After following Rubber Alan's misleading directions to the start ("It starts at Home Depot"), NBL reports deciding to go for a run on the tow path...and joyfully discovering the other hounds' cars in the parking lot. After two unsuccessful attempts to find his way through those evil purple flowers, and in danger of being benighted, he went back to the start, where he found TT's helpful diagram of the apres location. on-on Uranus
