The hashers quickly realized that the true trail led into an impenetrable wall of shiggy, so they wimped out, finding the trail outside the bushes.   The hash quickly descended into a state of confusion from which it would never emerge.  Hashers ran through the first F, only to find marks on the other side.  For the next 30 minutes, there were never fewer than two groups who were simultaneously on what they thought to be the true trail. Shouts of ON-ON pervaded the wood.  Hashers ran backwards, they ran on imaginary trails, they yelled ON-ON when they were clearly not on the trail -- you name it, they did it.   Incredibly enough, the hounds stopped at the end, rather than continuing in their silly quest for marks.  Luckily for Uranus, there was still some beer left at the On-In.   QUESTIONS 1. What is the author's opinion of the "hounds?" A. They are half-brained. B. They should know better. C. Yes. 4. All of the above. 2. What is it with Uranus Williams and beer anyway? A. She just got lucky that Yogi didn't show up and drink it all at the first beer check (on the closed bridge over Pretty Brook, a hash icon!). F. Beer?  Was there beer? III. Can you repeat the question? D. Mmm, cookies. 3. Why did the hashers run through the F, but more importantly, why did they find marks on the other side? A. I don't know.  Ask Safe Sweats. B. Will you shut up already??!?!? C. Hey Yo! Paully! always sees marks, even when he's not hashing. G. Uranus didn't want to trespass on public property, so she had to stay on the ETS grounds. 4. Where the hell is Geezer, anyway? A. He's sulking.  What else is new? B. Nova Scotia, or was it Nova Zemyla? Z. Who? D. Booorrrriiinnnnggg!!
