PRINCETON HHH HASH #645.4 Date:     February 8, 1998 Weather:  None.  Still none, and here it is February 8!  Where's Winter? Venue:    West Windsor / Mercer County Park Time:     25 min, 45 min, 65 min Set By:   Pinup (with worshipping by Carlos), then Wacko Hashers:  Ice Blue Balls, Tree, A Joy to His Mother, Geezer, Wacko,           Dave Williams, Drew Ronneberg, Colleen Kennedy, Delay LLLama,           Uranus Williams, Hand Solo, Always Open, Valerie Harr,           Hey Yo! Paully!, Rojo, Big Nut, 242 Rookie:   Paul Descriptions, Polemics, and Lies:                             You followed Wacko?   Every hasher knows in the cobwebbed back corners of his or her half-mind that following or taking guidance from certain members of our species is tantamount to admission of insanity.  When you come to a check mark and 242 takes off toward the rim of a canyon, you Should Not Follow.  When the entire pack turns left and A Joy to His Mother turns right toward the yard full of barking Dobermans, you know that following him is a Bad Idea.  So why, pray tell, did the Geezer let Wacko (the worst of the bunch) guide him to the start of Pinup's hash?  We may never know.   It is a long and venerable tradition among people who drive that if only one driver knows where the caravan is going, that person drives in the lead car.  In the front.  Pinup knew this, and she was even willing to try passing on a two-lane road to prove it.  Failing that, she slammed into Ice Blue Balls's car, bumper-cars style, in another vain attempt to reach the front position.  IBB, Tree, Valerie, and Joy, who were in the car, suffered no noticeable damage, though when the victim's brain is already so addled, who's to say?  And you thought hashing was non-competitive.   To make a short story long, 5 hashers started at the start, including Big Nut, who wore his hashing jeans.  They acted as a vanguard, flushing out the initail false trails.  When they reached the earthen dam at the end of Mercer County Park, the cavalry troops were just getting saddled up.  Joy rallied them to follow him, despite the suspicious lack of flour and their natural desire to follow some false trails.   The excellent full-length false near the end notwithstanding, the cavalry managed only a 25-minute hash, so Wacko stole five pounds of flour and a plastic bag, bounding into the woods on the scent of some really horrific mud.  Only five intrepid hashers (just two of whom were in the initial vanguard) reached said mud, though, so it was a bit of a waste, as was the whole day I suppose.  The rest of the pack sat on a billboard and sang campfire songs to pass the time.   The nominally annual Hash Bash proceeded with the usual absence of good taste.  The minutes of the annual meeting are already lost to the mists of time.  Pass the Bitter Melon, please.  Quack. On On The Unknown Hasher NEXT HASHES: Volunteer, or experience the Wrath of the Grand Dominatrix. #646.4 Sunday, February 15, 1998, Speedbumps sets #647.4 Sunday, February 22, 1998, HARD CORPSE VI, The Cuban Assassin and Wacko Set #648.4 Sunday, March 1, 1998, 2 pm, 87 Prospect, Delay LLama sets the Losar Hash #649.4  Sunday, March 8, 1998, 2 pm, 87 Prospect, Hey Yo!
