Time: about 1:05 Set By: 242 (live) Hashers: Gerbils, Guilty by Association, English as a Second Language, A Joy to His Mother, Table Toes, Hey Yo Paully, Wendy, Talia Dorsey, Melissa Lockman, Birk, Delay LLLama, Meg LLLama'spal, RoJo, And......started but abandoned us LRF Kilts: Pushnermaybe, Bill "Hashgash" Hiser, C-Man, Appendix, Singularity Rookie: Meg's young pal THE MADDING CROWD "I hurt my widdle knee," moaned 242 just before he limped off to set a live hare. The hounds fell for all of 242's tricks, weaving on and off of the main streets of Princeton, straining to hear their fellow hounds' bellowing cries amid the sickening din of nostalgia. The trail led by historic Nassau Hall, built in 1756, home of the Continental Congress, and the site of a minor skirmish during the Revolutionary War. 242 had the audacity to set a check mark on the new stone commemorating the Bicenquinquagenary of Princeton University, a stone which bears Woodrow Wilson's immortal slogan "Princeton in the Nation's Service," along with current President Harold T. Shapiro's attempt at immortality by association: "In the Service of All Nations." The hounds dashed down through Blair Arch, promptly getting lost in a sea of hideous orange and black clothing at the lunching 5th, 10th, and 15th reunions (present kilts excluded, of course). Unbelievably, most of the pack ended up emerging unscathed at the southern end of the campus, where they blundered about just south of the campus's latest eyesore, the Class of 1952 Artificial Stadium. Soon enough, it was Shiggy Time, with Hey Yo Paully leading the way through an impressive array of thorn-equipped plant life. Once the pack emerged onto Alexander Road, it was clear (to RoJo, at least) where the trail led -- the golf course. 242 proved once again that he just can't stay away from the wide expanses of green with their attendant deadly missiles soaring high and far. While English as a Second Language yelled "On-On!" at every duffer about to take a swing, C-man was narrowly avoiding catching a ball with his noggin. Many hashers did note that the golfers' usually suspect sartorial tastes were stolidly conservative compared to those of most of the reuners and their ubiquitous tiger-striped spawn. The trail led harmlessly past McCarter Theater to the On-In at 2-D. There the mighty hounds found the recovering Glory who, after her near-death experience last week, had opted out of this week's festivites. NEXT HASHES: VOLUNTEER TO SET NOW.
