                             DARK

Another first in PHHH history this week - at least as far as this
scribe knows.  Suffice it to say that after being delayed until
3:45PM and driving 40 minutes to the start, the lone hound was eager
to hit the trail before nightfall, and not to be deterred by the local
deli owner who refused admittance to his restroom.  Just hope
the elementary school kids don't wander off too far during recess!

Wacko finally finished his business and rambled around aimlessly
through some fine terrain for 15 minutes unable to turn up any marks
before looping back to the start whereupon he encountered Pushnermaybe
and Nightmare who had done the same for about 50 minutes.

Guessing that perhaps the arrow among the hieroglyphics at the start
might be true, and having eliminated all other possibilities, the intrepid
threesome quickly stumbled upon marks.  Nightmare had already completed
her penance for her Nightmare set and decided to wait by the cars,
but Pushnermaybe was more than happy to join Wacko on the hunt.

Having completed a combined 75 minutes of wandering the dynamic duo could use
the process of elimination to psyche out the trail.  Always within earshot
if not eyesight, the pair worked their way through the maze of wooded 
trails, skirted a large field (which, rumor has it, was the bane of all
'cept TWarbler and the LRF), and then road the railroad tracks and the frozen 
swamplands beyond to a rendezvous with Nightmare and the Hare (sounds like
a Grimm Fairy Tale) on Veronica Lane after a little over an hour.  
On the promise that the best terrain lay ahead, Wacko continued on, but 
solo hashing on a Solo hash is not conducive toward making it home in time
to see the Stupid Bowl.  After losing the trail on a golf course, night
fell with a hash-ending thud, and Solo mercifully gave the last hound a
lift back to his car.  No doubt the denizens of the Land of the Industrial
Dead would have devoured him anyway had he found the Infinity (On In).
