Descriptions, comments, polemics, and lies:  As we pulled into the parking
lot at the Roebling School for the Terminally Demoralized the guards came
to an instant alert. "We have to be real careful about who (sic) these kids
contact," ventured one vigilant custodian, "and you folks don't make the
grade. Move out."  An ominous start to the fall hashing season, but well in
keeping with the general ambiance of this Year Of the Many Angry and
Malignant Assholes (YOMAMA), and obviously clear thinking on the part of
the guard. We moved the cars out of range, spent the obligatory few moments
listening to a meandering intro from a semi-functional RoJo, and set off
through the mean streets of some unnamed, perhaps unnameable, Pennsylvania
town. 

We finally cleared the asphalt at the 15 minute mark, and from then on it
was thorns, strangely glowing malevolent streams, and foul mud banks all
the way. The summer seems to have taken its toll on the Princeton Pack. For
example, after the first river crossing Trash Can spotted an F, and it took
the pack a full 25 minutes to (a) vainly search most of Eastern
Pennsylvania for marks,  (b) decide that a mammoth birdshit was not a mark,
and (c) finally figure out the Trash Can had missed the real trail. We
encountered yet one more outraged homeowner who chased us in his van, but
otherwise it was a routine run to the end.

The apres was enlivened with the usual lofty topics, Fijiian cannibalism
featuring prominently.
