IN THE NICK OF TIME

It was looking pretty grim in the Stevenson parking lot as a small group
assembled, when at the last second TFM in typical form sped in in a hashing
frenzy and proceeded to babble incoherently.  Neidre arrived later still and
we didn't see Pushnermaybe until we reached the starting point where he filled
our ears with tales of hashing in Indonesia.

What can you say about this hash?  Not much.  It was a quintessential
hash - having all the pre-requisite amounts of woods and road running, mud and
thorns.  A dangerous pitfall was warned about, which TFM of course pummeled
into anyway.  Deer were spotted as well as a small domesticated red fox.  The
absence of a reasonable number of false trails was presumably compensated for
by one monstrous falsey down a fenced off dirt road/trail which everyone else
went down, leaving a lonely 2-4-2 to do calisthenics at the next check mark.
Otherwise, the trail was expertly set (Wacko, if you're reading this, it sucked
and was boring) and kept the hounds together, working as a group.  Furthermore,
our guardian setter never strayed far from us; no doubt in fear of being caught
alone, himself, by some hostile contractors.

The weather was wonderfully cool and it even started to rain as we came
upon the beer before a panoramic mud field in the soon to be suburbs.  The hash
lasted about 50 minutes, although a dogged Neidre limped in sometime later on
a nasty sprain swearing never to leave a hash unfinished.  Speculation was heavy
as to a good name for Neidre (Big and Dumb, or the more timely above title)
and what consequences might ensue upon the Geezer's impending return when he
discovers we've acted in his absence as an autonomous body and had a naming.

Where the hell is the LRF and what in his life could be SOOOO pressing that he
should miss a hash?  The existence of a woman was quickly ruled out.  There is
great enthusiasm for the underwear hash.  However, it has been postponed. Is
this because Ro Jo can't make it? (I mean really, the rest of us could get in
trouble running through the woods like that and how boring would it be with
no women.....should half the men go in drag?)
