PRINCETON HHH Hash #457.4 DATE: Sunday May 15, 1994 SET BY: Ro Jo and IUTTW HASHERS:Geezer, Delay Lllama, Wacko, Safe Sweats, LFBB, LRF, Peter "2for2" The Grad Student, Village Idiot, Idiot's friend, Email ROOKIES Peter's Friend Heidi, possible name "Outdoor Action" , molecular biologist , Ro Jo's friend, Peter. WEATHER:Gorgeous VENUE: Council Rock High School - Bucks County Community College, Tyler Park. THE HASH THAT WASN'T TO BE... ... turned out to be a fairy-tale adventure, what with "Peter" and "Wendy" waiting for us at the start, the Village Idiot dropping by for a guest appearance, the Geezer and Delay Lllama hustling back from Baltimore to perform a hash doubleheader, and In Up To His Waist living up to his epithet, supplying not one but two opportunities for us to all go in up to our necks! The trail was laid with such expertise that the hounds suffered at the end with nothing to whine about, finishing at exactly one hour without ever needing a hint from the hares and with the checks effectively screwing all SCB's perfectly so that the pack converged on the cooler virtually simultaneously. The LRF, fresh off a 30 mile bike ride, was heard to mumble some choice words about Pennsylvania as we went up and down hills rarely seen in the typical PHHH venue. The Geezer and Delay Lllama were delirious from Baltimore and were feeling no pain. Peter, his second hash, was still under the misconception that this was some kind of race, which meant we got excellent checking out of him and entertainment at the end when he exclaimed "Two for two" as he pulled the cooler from it's hiding place and had to down-down a brownie and beer to chants of "gobble-gobble-gobble-gobble" instead of "down-down-down-down". Safe Sweats continued pursuing his photo-journalistic tendencies. Heidi showed uncharacteristic equanimity for a rookie faced with stinging nettles, water-crossings and the Village Idiot. LFBB, disappointed that there were no roads on which to take chancy short-cuts, was reinvigorated when the marks from the final check were close to being hidden inside a guard rail. Even the gnats at the aprˇs were minor annoyances compared with Solo's horseflies from hell. SUMMER SALE: EVERYTHING MUST GO. I can't afford the time this summer to continue writing and mailing out these newsletters. Any volunteers?!
