PRINCETON HHH Hash #450.4 DATE: Sunday March 27, 1994 SET BY: Throat Warbler HASHERS: LRF, Rojo, Delay Lllama, In Up To His Waist, Knee Deep in Brown Stuff, TFM, Hands Job, Wacko, Bill "Eyesore" Pugh, Judd "The Milkman" Brewer ROOKIE: Barbara WEATHER: Wet and Wild VENUE: That park beyond the Pennington high schools - through the high schools - across 31 - down the tracks - turn right before Bambi in front of the little lake - turn right again into Kunkel park. KNEE DEEP IN WET STUFF I have no time to write a newsletter this week not that I have time to write one any week not that any of us have time to write one any week not that any of us really are so busy that we don't have time to write a measly newsletter once a week but it sure does seem that way sometimes but enough metaphysics you're gonna just have to settle for one of them old stream of consciousness jobs very lax on the punctuation especially of the period variety because Hand Solo is setting at a special time next week - namely SATURDAY not SUNDAY to avoid Easter so I figure I had better get this out pronto even though I have no time to write this as I may have mentioned but here is basically what happened on this past very very wet Sunday when the Throat Warbler led us all out to Ayatollah Kommeni's house (he figures that the slight name change will throw us off the scent but we realize that NJ is the perfect place to hide - who would look for anyone here - I'd check Paris and Florence first myself) anyway - we immediately ran off into that wonderful little park of running trails behind the schools in Pennigton that Hand Solo took us through once a while back only that time we didn't need canoes - the level of sloshing at the beginning is hard to describe and the way the water managed to remain in liquid state when well below 32 degrees Farenheit is another mystery to me - must have something to do with flour/water mixtures anyway we did get lost, much to the chagrin of our freezing toes that all screamed "Run Run I don't care which way just keep moving!" until someone found the Citrus Festival trail of orange rinds and we wound our way back out to the high schools and regrouped all but EYESORE who we knew could well take care of himself and indeed did reappear immediately on the other side of a playing field - through schoolyards and across Rte. 31 to the railroad tracks and up toward Bambi but the warbler had another submerged deer carcass for us on the other side of the tracks which I'm not sure anyone saw - certainly not the fog-bespectacled LRF who like the blind oracle continually pronounced the course of events about to transpire - predicting the trail and scenery all the way to Kunkel park - aided by the lake on our left that no one was about to swim. One final creek-crossing and we were dining on chips and salsa. Though the terrain was familiar to the LRF and Wacko - it was no doubt quite new to the rest of the hounds and the joy of hashing through liquid slime is always unsurpassed. Hope the rain can keep up til the weekend. NEXT HASHES: SATURDAY April 2 2PM Solo sets <--- NOTE SPECIAL DAY TO AVOID EASTER!
