Ice Ice Baby!

Okay, so it's a lame, outdated title, but it fit.  After a late start (never give Wrong Way the 
keys to the hashvan) the merry crew found themselves crossing the broken floes of the 
Delaware and pointed straight at Tyler State Park and The Maple Syrup School.  The usual 
excuses and apologies by the hares out of the way, the hapless hounds found and followed 
the trail for nearly 5 marks before losing it completely.  Now, the beauty of this hash was 
that it was completely frictionless.  From the bone-jarring slide down the first frozen hill, 
through every corner-turned-slam-dunk, gravity, not your feet, directed your course.  Time 
and time again the tilted trail hurled you at the waiting trailside thorns.  Wacko somehow 
managed to survive the entire hash without a spill, but most of the rest of us got a real 
close-up look at the trail.  The LRF cast physics to the wind and managed near top speed 
on the icy paths.  His secret - "no fear"!  The trail itself seemed relatively short compared to 
hashes of recent history, indeed a welcome relief after last week's Mobius hash.

Highlights/Lowlights:
•	"Rear-ripping" slide down an ice-cube embankment at the start
•	Unmarked back check as the pack faced an expanse of maybe frozen, maybe not 
frozen, lake
•	Duncan's prehistoric cry as his foot broke through into the icy depths
•	Maura and Guy (eventually) emerging from the thorns at an impromptu regroup that 
would have had Dr. No fuming
•	The LRF slithering along a slanted sheet of ice with reptilian ease as the rest of us 
chose between impact and penetration wounds
•	Worried mothers screaming at their children not to run on the ice as the 11 hounds 
lumbered passed undaunted.
