PRINCETON HHH HASH #434.4 Date: November 21,1993 Weather: Wasted Set By: Wacko Hashers: Dead Barney in a Sewer, Dybshyg, Road Jaundice, Ron Roessler, Jud Brewer, Art Taylor, Sam Dellenbaugh, Some Nerd, The Madam, Solo, Mr. Fluffy, Louisiana Reptile Fancier, Geezer Rookies: Dan Vogl, Andy Dubill Venue: Miller and Friendship Roads somewhere on the Great Treadmill of Life First to Cooler: Joe Burns Description, polemics, comments, and lies: Two Wasted Lives This was Wacko’s 300th hash. Wacko was present at the birth of the Princeton Hash House Harriers (nee, Stevenson Hall HHH) on October 7, 1979, and has set more of these things than anyone else (66.5). One might be pardoned for thinking that someone who had wasted the major portion of his life placing obscure marks in New Jersey swamps might at least have grown familiar enough with the turf to select a memorable venue for one of those round numbers that define our lives. Not so, for we started off right where we ended Hash #413.4, May 26, 1993, just before Wacko made his temporary and futile escape to North Africa. Believe it or not, this was also the 300th for the Louisiana Reptile Fancier. The LRF started later than Wacko (not even Your Intrepid Scribe knows the exact date, but it was somewhere around hash #50) and therefore makes an even better candidate for the major life-waster of the PH3. Wacko and the LRF are thus forever joined by this surreal coincidence, doomed to wander together through the foul-smelling, shiggy-ridden regions of the earth, searching for that elusive last mark, that final cooler filled with the elixir that would release them from their endless treadmill. They have been condemned by some especially cruel god to run forever on the great false trail of life. Oh, the hash itself: thorns and mud, confused rookies, a lost Solo; what would you expect? Hash Trash: Your Ever-beloved Scribe has been receiving unsigned letters from a former PH3-er now in Singapore. However, I have my sources, and my spies are everywhere. I have unearthed her identity. Kendra Hershey, who ran all of two times with us now hashes all over the world. May she be subjected to the cruel fate of Wacko and the LRF. Next Hashes: # 435.4 Sunday, November 28, 2 pm, A. G.
