What he missed the most was watching Lazio playing in Serie A and the Coppa Italia. To take his mind off his loss he ploughed himself into his work as an auto mechanic and after a few years had scraped enough together to open his own shop, just off the Princeton Pike in Ewing, NJ. The whole family got together to celebrate the grand opening - the spaghetti was al dente and the Chianta was abondanzza. The sign outside the shop proudly proclaimed "BRAKE SPECIALS, LUBE JOBS". Life was good at first but the next years were not been kind to Fabrizio. He was never the same after the '94 FIFA World Cup final. Watching Roberto Baggio flub the penalty attempt and seeing Brazil hoist the trophy was the last straw. He tried to carry on working in the auto shop but his heart just wasn't in it. After a while the paint was peeling and the customers stopped coming in. The sign outside became the worse for wear and the letters starting to sag and threaten to come loose. Finally a couple of the letters actually fell down. Yes, the K and the E fell off and lay out of sight, covered by beer cans and trash. Fabrizio never understood why, but the letters falling down triggered a sudden rush of women flocking to the shop demanding service. This is just like the old days thought Fabrizio as he eyed the scene outside the shop, the women elbowing each other out of the way. It was into this chaotic scene that the hounds wandered, searching for marks left earlier in the day by HIMZ. Afraid that they would lose their places in the queue the women became enraged, spitting and yelling "scopata fuori!!" at the half-minds passing by. And pass by we did, almost catching the hare who forget about DST and started an hour late. Happily at that point it was just a hop and a skip and a jump over the fence into HIMZ' backyard where Zoe came out to entertain the crowd.
