Dog Days

It was love at first bite. A sniff or two in the right places convinced Max that
this was the real deal.  He even forgot to be worried for an hour as he chased
after this little hot number named Amber.   Amber played hard to get as the two 
romped through Thompson park and environs with gay abandon.  They romped past the
dog area, mocking the poor mutts trapped inside. The dogs would have enjoyed the
Royal Jamesburg Deer Park and Emu Preserve but the pack eschewed the scenic route 
instead took a shortcut down to the lake.

Q. How do you negotiate an open rail crossing when you're a tiny dog?
A. Whimper and wait for owner to pick you up and carry you across.

Max was too macho (not to mention too big) for such antics and he strode manfully
across.

The end came soon enough and the 400-lb. malamutes were waiting. Amber looked like 
a tasty appetizer for them but they were denied the taste of Amberflesh as 
Dougweepeespal had the 'mutes securely tucked away from temptation.
