THE BALLAD OF THE THREE AMIGOS

Playing the part of El Guapo: Juicy

What’s it like being a student at Lawrenceville? It
means a schedule packed full of classes, study hours,
athletic practice, rehearsals, and time for friends,
special events, eating, and sleeping. Students learn
to manage their time, meet their commitments, and
enjoy their friendships.

On weekends, at least one residential house sponsors
an all School social event. These activities range
from dances, to theme parties, to festivals. Each
house tries to outdo the other by offering the best
event with the best attendance. 

The above official blurb fails to mention the
possibility of mass invasion (OK, mini-invasion) by
grungy individuals wearing jingly hats and blowing
horns in amateurish fashion.  HYP was much in evidence
as the Three Amigos peered at white spots trying to
differentiate between bird shit, flour droppings or
white bubbly exudate that seems to ooze from trees
when the climactic conditions are just right.  Without
HYP's guidance the trio of hounds would never have
made to StoneRise Drive to sing Happy Birthday to
Juicy mariachi style before being confined to the
(mercifully dry) garage.  

After a fairly temperate On-In, the Three Amigos
seized the opportunity to make good their escape in
the Vibe.  DisComfort's decision to flee the country
on Boxing Day may be an over-reaction but who can
blame her?
