PHHH #1080.9 Date: Sunday, February 12, 2006 Weather: 20 inches Hare: Ouipee Hounds: TBD Time: 2 hours (setting) Seen while setting: Geezer shovelling Cars while finishing at start: Hey YO! Paully, Safe Sweats, Charles Snelling Hounds inferred on foot: Delicate Psyche, Psilent Knight, Bjorn Dork Reflections in Paully's Bloodshot Eye Setting basically the same loop as during last year's February storm seemed to take longer--must have the heavier molar values of the red carpenter's chalk compared to blue. According to Geezer, it was 3:06 when I tried to mark while shoveling his driveway, and the hounds who had left cars and bottle of Mother Goose's sparkling wine (reference from the Golden Age of the National Lampoon, whose lyrics don't appear to be available, so as compensation see and listen to www.nationallampoon.com/flashbacks/deteriorata/default2.asp) were nowhere to be seen or heard when I finished marking back to the start. After an interruption for a jolly 90-minute on-in at 39 Humbert featuring amaretto mocha dark cocoa, Stegmaier's, water in a champagne bottle, and mostly fresh garlic habanero cilantro salsa, it emerged that all the hounds--with one typical exception, having anticipated an easy trail on Princeton's streets and now presumed carrion gnawed by snow weasels on the golf course--found their way to the start/finish, where most of them had visited when the hare was in mid-trail. Solo, you're welcome to try the trail Monday at 5 pm--it's probably easier following the intended path from 87 Prospect rather than the path marked from 39 Humbert.
