Paully Hounds: Hand Solo, Wacko, Ouipee, Bjorn Dork, Delicate Psyche, Silent Knight, Charles Snelling Virgin: David Potere Boys Life Freeze Out We got to the start and it was real windy and cold even though the sun was shining. The pack master, Mr. Mlodzinski, wasn't there. We couldn't find any marks in the snow or on the building for a long time, and some kids wanted to go home. But Bjorn found a mark and Weapea knew Mr. Mlodzinski was going to take us northwest to his sister's house, so then we found lots of marks and it was pretty easy. The Pack Challenge came at a stream that looked really deep and cold. The new scout, David, swung over on a branch. We couldn't believe it. Then Wacko, one of the older scouts, showed us how to build a bridge out of branches, and nobody got too wet. We ran on pavement and it got boring. Then we sent Silent Knight down hill from a check, and he found marks. We went in the woods on a really muddy path until we found a false. Just then we saw Mr. M across the creek. We had to go all the way back to the road to get to the other side. But that was okay because Mr. Mlodzinski brought a thermos of pea stew and leftover poppyseed bread and old deer sausage that Mr. Harr is going to show us how to make. We were really happy when the pack master said it was another 4 and a half miles to his sister's house but he was stopping here even if we all stood in icy mud. We couldn't believe it because Mr. Mlodzinski always sets the hardest trails to find or finish. So we ate crackers, chips, cookies and had drinks from bottles with ice and snow on their labels. We sang a song to David, who was pretty funny for a new kid, and Delicate said he'd set next week after a big test on Wednesday. Charles nearly got a dirty name but it didn't stick. Then Mr. Solo showed up and said he'd set the week after that, and Silent K said he'd set the G hash. Some of the younger scouts said they had fun because there weren't any girls, but the older scouts told them they'd change their minds one day. Wepee Pack Secretary
