PHHH #1004.9 Date: Wednesday August 25th, 2004 Weather: Far too ideal Where: Community Park North to Hun School along Pretty Brook Hare: Count von Count Hounds: HeyYo Paully, WeePee, Wacko Time: 83 minutes Marathon Men and Me Kudos to the Count for a fine set that made familiar terrain confusing enough that OuiPee was clueless when we emerged at the Hun School track. Wacko barely managed to keep up with the fleet of foot, HYP consistently vanished 180 degrees in the wrong direction only to reappear suddenly out in the lead including the final 1 mile pavement pound to the end. The trail beelined it from Community Park north to the Johnson Park school whereupon Rosedale Road was crossed and we followed Pretty Brook to the Hun School, ending after the only pavement pounding loop to an obscure cul-de-sac back near that new park opposite Johnson Park School where they were showing Field of Dreams at 9pm. We're not quite sure what we ate at the apres as the moon barely rose above the trees in the dark, but the hare did do a down-down out of half a pineapple. One more Wednesday set next week? Any volunteers? If not, HYP will step up. -w
