'Skeletons in Your Genealogy Closet', Mercer County Genealogy Society

On Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 7:30 pm, the Beth El Synagogue of East Windsor, Mercer County Genealogy Society presents 'Skeletons in Your Genealogy Closet'. Sometimes, when digging through documents and records, you may unearth sensitive information. This information could range from adoptions to conversions to multiple marriages – you might even discover a criminal in your family tree! Caryn Alter and Steve Cohen will discuss potential "skeletons", using some of their own colorful examples and genealogical tools for verifying or debunking "family legends". Caryn and Steve, both founding members of the genealogy club at Beth El Synagogue, recently published What's in a Name? A Young Person's Jewish Genealogy Workbook.
