Hunterdon County Historical Society’s Annual Rare Book and Map Sale
The Hunterdon County Historical Society is gearing up for the annual unique and rare book sale fundraising event at the Society’s headquarters at 114 Main Street, Flemington on Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 9 am to 2 pm. This year’s sale is scheduled to take place to coincide with the Second Sunday Flea, Antiques, Treasures and Finds in downtown Flemington sponsored by the Flemington Community Partnership. www.exploreflemington.com. This year’s sale includes some original editions and several rare books such as: George Washington’s Last Will and Testament, 1800; African Game Trails by Teddy Roosevelt, 1910 first ed.; The Gardener’s Kalendar, 1760; and The Marvelous Musical Prodigy, Blind Tom, the negro Boy Pianist, 1876. Also included in the sale are many genealogies, travel pamphlets, advertising cards, school books and almanacs.
