Germany. 1928. A group of natural scientists, radio engineers, and artists convene in the attic of the Berlin Academy of Music for a great experiment. Together, they extend the frontiers of knowledge in art and technology, making discoveries that change the world of music forever. Join IAS's Albers-Schönberg Professor in the History of Science Myles W. Jackson, the Jasper String Quartet and soprano Maria Brea on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 5:30 p.m. in Wolfensohn Hall when they bring this story to life in Broadcasting Fidelity: German Radio and the Rise of Early Electronic Music, a lecture demonstration inspired by Professor Jackson’s new book of the same title.
