The rich cultural life of Princeton's Latino community is celebrated with an afternoon of music, dance, food and crafts on both Hinds Plaza and Palmer Square. Part of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Hinds Plaza will be transformed into a traditional marketplace with a variety of artisans and vendors displaying their wares. A DJ will provide a soundtrack highlighting the music of Latin America and pop up performances by musicians and dancers will occur throughout the afternoon. Palmer Square will host music and dance performances on their stage all afternoon and local non-profits will provide activities and crafts for kids. Confirmed performers include Mariachi Los Tigres de Princeton, Alborada Dance Company, Sonqo, and Princeton Capoeira.

Enjoy a walk around downtown Princeton and the University campus as you learn about historic sites in the area, including Nassau Hall, University Chapel and Palmer Square. Hear some of the classic history and lesser-known stories of Princeton’s diverse past. Princeton Battle Monument Princeton Battle Monument Tickets are $15. Advance purchase is required. Tour starts in the courtyard of the Princeton Battle Monument (GPS address: 1 Monument Drive). Please note: Space on this tour is limited to 24 participants. The number of available tickets will be listed under “Spaces” below. If there is not a box visible, then there is only one ticket remaining. Due to limited tour size, we cannot accommodate last minute add-ons at the start of the tour.

Aubree Oliverson makes her PSO debut with Tchaikovsky’s beloved Violin Concerto. Princeton composer Gemma Peacocke’s Manta draws inspiration from the magnificent manta ray, and Brahms’ sweeping fourth and final symphony concludes the program.
Due to the length and type of performance, this concert is not suitable for children under the age of 5.

Princeton Makes, a Princeton-based artist cooperative, and Ragged Sky Press, a local publisher focused on poetry, will host a Second Sunday Poetry Reading on Sunday, September 15 at 4:00 pm. The readings will take place at the Princeton Makes store in the Princeton Shopping Center.
The September reading will feature Annie Cao and Lois Marie Harrod. Their readings will be followed by an open mic available to up to 10 audience members who would like to read their original poetry.
