Women in Retirement - Travels in Canyonlands, CMAP

Join Dina Kravets and Karen Coates as they present their recent Road Scholar trip, “On the Road: Absolute Southwest — A Canyonlands Adventure.” They will share pictures and stories from their visits to Sedona, Montezuma’s Castle, Monument Valley, and the quartet of canyons: Antelope, Zion, Bryce, and Grand. If you enjoyed their 2022 Colorado River rafting presentation, you will love the Canyonlands trip. We hope you can join us! Registration required, no fee.

Dancing Under the Stars, Hinds Plaza

Members of Central Jersey Dance demonstrate basic steps and lead others in an evening of dancing to recorded music of all kinds on Hinds Plaza, weather permitting; or Community Room.

Join us twice per month from June to September on the plaza for our tenth season of this collaborative dance event co-sponsored by the library and Central Jersey Dance Society. Sept. 27 will feature dances and music from Latin America as part of our Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations. Dancing Under the Stars 2024 schedule: June 7, 21; July 5, 19; Aug. 9, 23; Sept. 13, Sept. 27. Presented in partnership with the Mayors Wellness Campaign community health initiative.

Movie Night, Historical Society of West Windsor

The Historical Society of West Windsor invites you to enjoy what is often called "one of the worst movies of all time:" Plan 9 from Outer Space! On July 19 at 8PM at the West Windsor History Museum (50 Southfield Road, West Windsor NJ 08550), Experience a blast from the past on our outdoor 25-foot screen as you nosh on snacks/drinks. Enjoy a brief pre-screening talk on the film's production, legacy, what to watch for, and West Windsor's own "alien invasion" - the 1938 War of the Worlds radio broadcast.
