West Windsor Community Farmers' Market

Nearly forty farms and vendors are represented with offerings including seasonal Jersey Fresh produce, mushrooms, sustainably caught seafood, poultry, pastured eggs, freshly milled oats, pickles, sauces, jams, fresh pasta, goats milk products, cheese, breads, baked goods, pastries, pastured meats, vegan savory and sweets, Lebanese salads, Eastern European favorites, Indian simmer sauces and prepared meals, alpaca fiber wear, vegan chocolates, pesticide-free flowers, as well as on-site food trucks with crepes, fresh pressed juices, hot and iced coffee and teas.

Held at the Vaughn Lot at the Princeton Junction Train Station, with plenty of free parking, this gathering space for folks who love good food is known for its wide assortment of offerings and welcoming atmosphere.

Summer Fairy Festival, The Watershed

Fairies and friends gather together for some magical activities at The Watershed Institute. We will build fairy cottages using natural materials, create fun crafts, splash together as we play mermaid games, flutter around an obstacle course and more! Come dressed as a fairy or other mythical creature. Ages 2 and up. Adult attendance required. Discount available for members.

Frenchtown Walking Tour, Hunterdon County Historical Society

A walking tour of downtown Frenchtown on Saturday, July 13, at 10 a.m. will benefit the Hunterdon County Historical Society. It will be conducted by borough historian Rick Epstein, author of Frenchtown: Fires, Floods, Fads & Felonies and an HCHS trustee. The tour will cover the Great Fire of 1878, Inky the Wonder Dog, Senator Martin’s alligators, secret societies, how Fred Sipes created buzz for his silent-movie theater, how the guillotine inspired Frenchtown’s founder to come here and do some founding, and why Aaron Burr wanted to visit Frenchtown (but didn’t).

The tour costs $20 but is free for teenagers. Dogs are wonderful creatures, especially yours, but please keep them home. If you are interested, please register by emailing Rick at rickepstein@yahoo.com and he’ll tell you where to meet up.

19th Annual Sourland Mountain Festival

Afro-Cuban Surf-Jazz - El Noordzo

Saturday, July 13, 2024 (Rain date July 14) 5 to 7:30 pm

The series will kick off on Saturday, July 13, with El Noordzo, following a performance by Dan Kassel. El Noordzo will perform their instrumental, psychedelic, Afro-Cuban surf-jazz interpretations of classic rock, punk and alternative songs. The trio has been thrilling audiences in the tri-state area since 2013. They released two records of original music on Nacht Records in 2015, their self-titled debut and the infamous Shark Funeral Songbook. Band leader Mike Noordzy teaches privately at Rutgers University, Middlesex College, Hudson Music Studios and Speak Music Conservatory. Mike also composes music for film and runs the experimental music label Nacht Records. He holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in jazz performance from Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University. Expect the unexpected when El Noordzo comes to town!
