Logging & Firewood Cutting, Howell Living History Farm

Children's Craft: Suet Bird Feeder (11:00–3:00)

While farmers use horses to skid saw logs out of the woods and haul firewood to the sap house in preparation for maple sugaring season, visitors can cut and chop firewood, and split locust logs into fence rails! Blacksmith Daniel Lapidow will also be working in the forge, shaping wrought iron into harness hooks, gate hinges, and other hardware needed on the farm.

Eel Feeding and Storytime with Al, The Watershed

Join Animal Care Specialist Al Willick as she feeds our resident American eel and the other freshwater fish that reside in a large "stream tank" located in Discovery Hall of the Watershed Center. ?

During this 45-minute FREE program visitors will learn about the history, life cycles and special traits of these special critters, as well as some steps we can take to help preserve their habitats. This will be followed by Al feeding the eels and reading "Think of an Eel" by Karen Wallace in the reading nook. Ages 2 and up recommended. No registration is necessary for this program.

Opening Reception: May You Be Happy, Arts Council of Princeton

Opening reception for dual exhibition by Jon Sarkin and Hannah Fink. Both artists take common themes, such as superheroes and shoes and comics, and reinterpret them into a contemporary conversation. From a giant old boot to the altered face of a hero, May You Be Happy promises to challenge the viewer's perspective and contemplate what brings them solace, or excitement, or a sense of belonging. On view through December 2.

Night Out With NAMI - A Night at the Races

On Saturday evening, November 18, 2023, we will gather at Trenton County Club for A Night at the Races, a Kentucky Derby-themed event complete with southern fare, mint juleps, live bluegrass music, a silent auction, and some friendly wagering -- with donations to benefit NAMI Mercer! We would be thrilled to have you join us!

Night Out With NAMI attendees are encouraged to don bow ties and fancy hats for a fun-filled evening in support of a good cause.
