2023 Princeton Green House Tour

Saturday September 30, 2023
10:00 AM

On September 30th, Princeton residents will get a chance to tour some of the most sustainable homes and yards in Princeton. Hosted in partnership by the Princeton Environmental Commission (PEC) and Sustainable Princeton, this free, public event begins with a screening of four videos featuring some of the homes on the tour, as well as their owners and builders. The screening is being held at the Princeton Public Library at 10:00 a.m., and does not require registration.

After the screening, get tickets to take free, in-person tours of five homes and one ultra-sustainable yard, happening throughout town from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., with multiple time slots. Most homes are within walking distance of downtown Princeton. Participants are encouraged to attend as many or as few tours as they would like, in whatever order they choose. Tickets are first come, first served and limited to 15 participants per time slot. Pre-registration is encouraged at www.PrincetonGreenHouseTour.com.

LHT 8th Annual Full Moon Bike Ride

Saturday September 30, 2023
7:00 PM - 10:00 PM

The Lawrence Hopewell Trail's Full Moon Bike Ride is an Out of this World experience you won't want to miss.

Bike in the moonlight on a six-mile loop in Mercer Meadows Park. (Ride it as many times as you like in two hours!) Decorate your bike, dance to the music of a techno DJ, and enjoy fanciful lighting, glow-in-the-dark features and live music along the route. Make s'mores around the campfire once you're done.

This fundraising ride to benefit the Lawrence Hopewell Trail begins with a special sendoff shortly after the moon rises above Rosedale Lake in Hopewell, New Jersey. It is for riders ages 12 and up, and children must be accompanied by adults. Helmets are required for riders under 18 but are highly encouraged for all. Bike lights (front and rear) are strongly suggested. The trail surface is pavement and compact stone, and the course is moderate.

Registration and sign-in begins at 7 p.m. Use the entrance to Mercer Meadows Park on Federal City Road, between Blackwell Road and Old Mill Road. 2023 Full Moon Bike Ride t-shirts are only sold with pre-registration.
