West Windsor Community Farmers' Market

It’s all about local food and seasonality at the West Windsor Farmers Market! This year’s season kicks off on May 7th and running every Saturday from 9:00am-1:00pm, the market will be filled with local farmers and artisan food producers, including a knife sharpener, all from within fifty miles of West Windsor to celebrate the bounty of New Jersey. This season’s roster includes nearly fifty farms and vendors, several with a rotating schedule, including a baker under the new NJ Cottage Rule.

Market held rain or shine in the lower Vaughn Lot of the Princeton Junction Train Station - ENTRANCE FROM 877 Alexander Road, free parking. NJ Transit bus 877 or Dinky and ½ mile walk to Vaughn Lot. Visit wwcfm.org or call 609-913-7581.

The WWCFM accepts SNAP/EBT and offers matching incentives towards fruit & vegetable purchases (up to $20 per market day). Stony Brook Walking Tour, Historical Society of Princeton

Before there was a "Princeton," Quaker families established a community on the fertile ground along Stony Brook. This part-lecture, part-2 mile hike explores the lives of the early settlers and the community they established, while following a portion of the trail George Washington took from Trenton to the Princeton Battlefield. Stops include the Stony Brook Meeting House and Burial Ground, walking a portion of the "hidden" back road into Princeton, and a view of the Battlefield.

Roots & Branches of the 20th Century Black Arts Movement: Paul, Ossie, and Alvin, Arts Council of Princeton

This presentation will elucidate how the iconic voice and presence of Paul Robeson influenced the artistry and storytelling of Ossie Davis and Alvin Ailey. Local artist Maya Bradley will perform interpretive dance alongside the lecture presentation of Dr. Joy Barnes-Johnson, Program Chair of the Paul Robeson House of Princeton and Princeton Public Schools Educator. Escape the Museum, Wicoff House Museum

Join us at the Wicoff House for this fun family event. You will be “locked” in the rooms of the historic Wicoff House with the ghosts of its former residents! Learn the stories of their lives to uncover clues and solve riddles so that you can escape before time runs out! Escape rooms best suited for children 8 and up.

Proceeds benefit the Wicoff House Museum Youth Advisory Council and the Friends of the Wicoff House. $5 per person, pay at door Includes: Escape Room admission, slice of pizza and drink, souvenir.

GSWS Art Sale Reception

Garden State Watercolor Society (GSWS) returns to 19 Hulfish St., Palmer Square, Princeton, again this year for their pop-up Art Sale. Up to 40 member artists will display a large assortment of original artwork, framed and unframed. Variety of media in addition to watercolor will satisfy anyone’s taste or style to round-out an art collection with modest prices and nearly 500 choices.

The Art Sale will run for three consecutive weekends beginning Thursday, November 17th, and continuing with a Thursday to Sunday schedule, to Sunday, December 4th. The hours are Thursday, Friday: 10am–8:30pm, Saturday: 10:00am–6:00pm; and Sunday, 12:00–5:00pm. (Closed on Thanksgiving.) Admittance is FREE. A reception will be held on Friday, November 19th from 5:30–8:30pm.

The location is directly across Hulfish Street from Nassau Inn and Skating on the Square which also begins on the 19th. It is also near the Annual Tree Lighting ceremony on November 25th.

Children Making a Difference Benefit Concert, Westrick Music Academy

Join us as Princeton Girlchoir Semi-Tones and Concert Choir perform at Princeton’s beautiful Nassau Presbyterian Church. Donations at the door are encouraged instead of ticket sales. Funds raised will go to the Ukrainian Federation of America to benefit children in Ukraine, chosen by all the choristers of Princeton Girlchoir. Central Jersey Dance Society presents our No Name Dance: 7:00pm-8:00pm: West Coast Swing lesson (beginner/intermediate) taught by our talented instructor Alan Saperstein.

8:00pm-11:00pm: Open dancing to a great playlist of California Mix, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Night Club 2-Step, Hustle, and Latin dance music with Alan Saperstein as DJ.
