2nd Annual Wheels for Meals Bike Ride to Fight Hunger

Jewish Family & Children’s Service of Greater Mercer County (JFCS) invites you to our 2nd Annual Wheels for Meals bike ride to fight hunger, taking place on Sunday morning, October 9, 2022, at Mercer County Community College, starting at 8am. 50-, 25-, 10- and 3-mile Bike Routes for serious and novice cyclists alike!

Funds raised through Wheels for Meals will support JFCS hunger prevention programs including our brick-and-mortar pantry, our two-vehicle mobile pantry fleet that delivers our pantry experience to food insecure individuals all across the Greater Mercer community, the Kosher Café which provides hot lunches to low-income seniors 4 days a week, AND Kosher Meals on Wheels which delivers weekly meals to home bound seniors.

Princeton History Walking Tours, Historical Society of Princeton

Enjoy a walk around downtown Princeton and the University campus as you learn about historic sites in the area, including Nassau Hall, University Chapel and Palmer Square. Hear some of the classic history and lesser-known stories of Princeton's diverse past.

Second Sunday Poetry Readings, Princeton Makes and Ragged Sky Press

Princeton Makes, a Princeton-based artist cooperative, and Ragged Sky Press, a local publisher focused on poetry, will host a Second Sunday Poetry Reading on Sunday, October 9 at 4:00 pm. The readings will take place at the Princeton Makes store in the Princeton Shopping Center. The October reading will feature Emily Nguyen and Harvey Steinberg. Their readings will be followed by an open mic available to up to 10 audience members who would like to read their original poetry.

Sustainable Princeton Annual Fundraiser - MISSION: PRINCETON

Wendy Benchley, award-winning marine conservationist, & former Princeton Councilmember, is the guest speaker. Among many legislative accomplishments during her time in Princeton, she worked on smart growth and sustainability issues, playing a leadership role in bringing to fruition a prize-winning downtown development and expanding affordable housing. Guests will savor seasonal hors d'oeuvres from Fridge2Table Chefs. Wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks will be served. Following the talk, there will be a celebration of the founding trustees of Sustainable Princeton, Heidi Fichtenbaum, Tom Janick, Wendy Kaczerski, Diane Landis, Matt Wasserman, and Shana Weber. ART OF Wine - Spain vs France, Arts Council of Princeton
