Delaware Canal Cleanup Series Kickoff

Saturday March 28, 2020
9:45 AM - 12:00 PM

Parts of the beautiful Delaware-Raritan Canal better known as the D & R Canal, or even as the Princeton Canal, will finally get a much needed cleanup beginning spring 2020 as two West Windsor-Plainsboro South Juniors, Michael Zhilaev and Anha Mehta, initiate a scaled plan to clean up the Delaware Canal. The cleanup kick off will begin at the area where the Canal towpath intersects for the local residents in Princeton off of Washington Road.

All material for cleanup will be provided on site and volunteers of all ages are encouraged to come help this cause! There will be an optional mindfulness workshop at the close of the project at noon for those interested. Certified Mindfulness instructor Devi Kumar has graciously offered to circle participants back to the theme of reconnecting to nature, one another, and our own selves.
