Hopewell Tour Des Arts

Over the last decade, The Tour des Arts has become a leading cultural attraction in and for Hopewell Township and the entire region. Playing a growing role as a gatherer of diverse artists, raiser of artistic awareness and orchestrator of this popular fall weekend event for the community and visitors of all kinds from across the region, Pennsylvania and New York.

The self-guided tour lets people choose their artists and routes, and explore at their own pace. It begins at the Hopewell Train Station at 2 Railroad Place in downtown Hopewell, where they can see a sample of each artist's work, get a printed map and make their way to individual studios, galleries and workshops on the Tour in and around Hopewell Borough and Township.

The 2019 Tour des Arts features established and emerging sculptors, goldsmiths, photographers, live musicians, performance artists, wood turners, painters, filmmakers, a metallurgist and collagist, among others.

The Conference for Peace - Coalition for Peace Action

The Multifaith Service will take place at 11:00 AM at the Princeton University Chapel (on campus, next to Firestone Library on Washington Road). The service is free (there will be a free will offering to benefit CFPA) and does not require pre-registration.

The Conference for Peace will take place from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM, at Nassau Presbyterian Church (61 Nassau St, Princeton, NJ). There is a fee to attend (free for students). We will be presenting Dan Ellsberg with an award for his lifetime of peacemaking, at the end of the Conference. After the Conference, there will be a reception with Dan Ellsberg from 5:00 to 6:00 (also at Nassau Presbyterian Church, in the Assembly Room) - you must be registered as a Sponsor to attend the reception.

Historic Princeton Walking Tour - Bainbridge House

"Appear and Inspire – 100 Years of Singing" , Westminster Choir

The Westminster Choir, hailed by American Record Guide, as the "gold standard" of American choral ensembles, will present a concert titled "Appear and Inspire – 100 Years of Singing" on Sunday, November 10 at 3 p.m. in Bristol Chapel on the campus of Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors and are available by phone at 609-921-2663 or online at rider.edu/arts.

The concert, led by conductor Joe Miller, will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the ensemble's founding in 1920, and it will feature repertoire rooted deep in the Westminster Choir's history. A highlight will be Benjamin Britten's Hymn to Saint Cecilia, reflecting Westminster Choir's spirit and mission as it has "appeared and inspired" thousands of choral musicians over the past century. The program will also include the premiere of Psalm 96 "Sing to the Lord a New Song" composed by Westminster Professor Christian Carey to celebrate the ensemble's 100th anniversary.

A Baroque Tapestry, The Dryden Ensemble

The Dryden Ensemble will celebrate its 25th Anniversary this season!

The main concert series opens on Sunday, November 10 at 3:00 p.m. at Miller Chapel with "A Baroque Tapestry," a program weaving together music from Lully to Bach for two oboes, bassoon, strings, and harpsichord, including Bach's joyous Harpsichord Concerto in D Major. The concert will also be performed in at Trinity Episcopal Church in Solebury on November 9 at 7:30 p.m.
