New Jersey Watershed Conference, The Watershed Institute

Join us this November for the 3rd Annual New Jersey Watershed Conference. This educational and networking event provides an opportunity to advance knowledge and communications on watershed health in our state. We welcome attendance from state and municipal government officials, nonprofit organizations, and environmental professionals, as well as members of the general public interested in learning about the problems and solutions pertaining to our water resources.

Location: The Watershed Institute (31 Titus Mill Rd., Pennington, NJ),  Cost: $35/$45 (early bird registration open until Oct. 11)

Opening Reception, "Souls of the Soil: Global Roots in Nature", D&R Greenway

D&R Greenway Land Trust’s new diverse art exhibition, Souls of the Soil: Global Roots in Nature, is available through November 22. Multi-media works explore the importance of nature as manifested in far-flung areas of the globe. These vibrant scenes may be viewed and purchased from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on business days. Herbal Workshop-Teas and Tinctures for Immune Support

Join Herbalist, Tish Streeten, and Carolyn Peucker, Suppers Facilitator, for a two-hour workshop focused on immune support. We will experience a variety of recipes and discuss medicinal herbs and spices. Enjoy a cup or two of herbal Tea made with dried herbs straight from Dor's garden. Free Stargazing Astronomy Program, Delaware & Raritan Canal Watch

7:00 PM - 11:00 PM

The astronomy program will be held 7 to 11 p.m. at the Griggstown Native Grasslands Preserve, 1091 Canal Road, Griggstown, Franklin Township. The planet Mars will be visible in the south. The Andromeda Galaxy, the farthest object that can be seen with the unaided eye, will be high in the sky. Star clusters, open clusters and planetary nebulae in the Milky Way will be observed. Registration is required and limited.
