JCC Fall Community Fest

Shake it at our Sukkah Hop filled with cultural fun from our local community partners. Festivities include inflatable corn maze, trackless train, petting zoo, face painting, crafts and more! Visit our camp table for early bird pricing and take a tour with a Director. Food & snacks for sale at a nominal charge. Let’s dwell and kvell together! $18 donation per family appreciated.

Open House, The Princeton Skating Club

The Princeton Skating Club invites you and your family to attend an Open House at the Princeton Day School rink located at 650 Great Road, Princeton, NJ. The Club hosts Open House events to provide information about membership, group lessons and an opportunity to skate with us. Skate rentals will be available for a small fee.

We welcome you to the Princeton Skating Club where members from throughout the greater Princeton area enjoy the advantages of a private (non-profit) club designed especially for families and figure skaters.

The Magic and History of Marquand Park Tour, Historical Society of Princeton

In 1953, the Marquand family donated 17 acres of their estate, Guernsey Hall, to the municipality of Princeton to serve as an arboretum and passive recreation park. Once part of a 30-acre farm owned by Judge Richard Stockton Field, Marquand Park is home to more than 140 different tree specimens, some dating back more than 170 years! Join Roland and Pam Machold, of the Marquand Park Foundation, as they share the history of the property and highlight the native and exotic trees in the collection.

Historic Princeton Walking Tour - Bainbridge House

Enjoy a 90 minute* walk around downtown Princeton and the University campus as you learn about historic sites in the area, including Bainbridge House, Nassau Hall, the University Chapel and Palmer Square. The early history of Princeton, the founding of the University and the American Revolution are just some of the stories from Princeton’s history that you will learn on your tour.

Tickets are $7. Advance purchase is recommended, as space is limited. Walk up ticket sales are cash only; guides cannot provide change.

Lawrence Hopewell Trail's Trail and Treat Bike Ride

The Lawrence Hopewell Trail will host the 5th Annual Trail and Treat Bike Ride, a celebration of the Halloween spirit for families with children ages 12 and under. We have planned separate activities on and off the LHT, including face painting and Halloween crafts, Princeton School of Rock, a children's band, will provide live music. Goody bags and additional treats will be provided.

There will be two rides, a 1/4 mile loop geared toward younger riders 6 and under, and a 1 mile ride for the more experienced riders ages 6-12. Walkers are welcome. Costumes and bike decorating are encouraged in celebration of the Halloween theme. Parents with bicycle trailers are welcome. Parent supervision is required. State law requires children riding bicycles to wear helmets. Skating, scootering and strolling participants also welcome. Music for Oboe and Strings, Princeton Symphony Orchestra

The Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) launches its 2019-20 chamber season on Sunday, October 20, at 4:30 pm with Music for Oboe and Strings at the Institute for Advanced Study, in Wolfensohn Hall. The concert spotlights the artistry of four PSO musicians as they perform as a quartet: Lillian Copeland, oboe, Ruotao Mao, violin, Stephanie Griffin, viola, and Alistair MacRae, cello. On the program are Johann Joachim Quantz' Quartet No. 3 in G Major, W.A. Mozart's Oboe Quartet in F Major, Ludwig van Beethoven's String Trio in D Major, and Benjamin Britten's Phantasy Quartet.

Oktoberfest, Friends of Princeton Open Space

Friends of Princeton Open Space (FOPOS), a nonprofit devoted to preservation and stewardship of land in Princeton, presents an Oktoberfest Celebration in honoring their 50th Year on Sunday October 20, 5:00-7:00 PM. Attendees can expect local craft beer, Ironbound Hard Cider, festive fare and live music from Princeton area performer, ESSIE, in the beautiful setting of the Mountain Lakes House overlooking the Billy Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve.

Tickets are available for online purchase for $25/person at Eventbrite.com (search "FOPOS Oktoberfest"). Mountain Lakes House, 57 Mountain Avenue, Princeton, NJ. Free parking is available in the lot near the Mountain Lakes House or in the public lot on Mountain Road with "Community Park North" signage.

FOPOS Oktoberfest event is RAIN or SHINE. The event is scheduled to take place on the covered terrace of the Mountain Lakes House. In the event of severe weather, they will move the celebration inside the house. For more information about FOPOS, please visit fopos.org.
